I made this one up for a CROW/RAVEN swap on a UK Yahoo group.
The only criteria was that we were to hand draw the crow/raven.
He is painted with Golden's Carbon Black onto a painted background,using watercolour paper.
I printed out the black and white paper borders, and also the yellow spotted hat, which began life as a picture of a paper cup.
The eye was cut out of a magazine.
Seems I couldn't help myself....he turned out Zetti-ish!

First to answer your question Barb:
I use iridescent glitter. I brush it onto the wet finish on the wings before they dry.
NOW what a FABULOUS and FUN piece!!! WOO HOO I LOVE IT!
